Battle Mode
Battle Mode is StudyVector's competitive learning layer, not a separate game. Your base reflects your knowledge: strong subjects become strong defences, weak topics stay visible, and every question answered feeds the loop back into practice.

Battle Mode operating rules
Every mechanic has to feed the loop: practice, improve, progress, compete, return. Features that do not improve learning or retention should not ship.
Battle Mode should never make students wade through menus before practice. The fastest path is always back to a useful question.
Early battles stay flexible and low-friction. Live-only mechanics wait until the learning loop is proven.
Ranks, base strength and rewards move through answered questions, mastery gains and completed learning sessions.
The success metrics are questions answered per student, session duration, return rate, battles per user and, once clans ship, accountable participation. If a mechanic does not improve learning or return behaviour, it gets iterated or removed.
Students should immediately see what improved, what is weak, and the next useful question or repair task.
